As a host/field producer for EPIX, I have a lot of opportunities to meet celebrities at red carpet premieres, press junkets and movie sets. This past Monday, May 11th, EPIX was on set of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2, as they shot in the epicenter of New York City – Times Square.
It was a beautiful day to shoot outdoors with hundreds of curious eyes taking pictures and watching the actors work in the background. Onlookers were able to see the very sexy Megan Fox (April O’Neil) and funny man, Will Arnett (Vernon Fenwick) shoot a scene from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2, which is slated for release on June 3, 2016.
EPIX was able to capture some really amazing behind-the-scenes footage including interviews from Andrew Form (Producer), Josh Appelbaum (Screenwriter), and stars Megan Fox and Will Arnett. All interviewees expressed how happy they were getting back together to film the second installment of the popular franchise, promising a funnier, more action-packed sequel.
It was an incredible experience being on set watching both the cast and crew work together to make the movie magic experience come to life. They showed us how hard they worked on a particular scene to ensure it was perfect while also sharing a lot of laughs in between takes.
Growing up watching the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and being a fan of the first film, I’m really excited for the second movie and the new characters they are going to introduce.
