The cast just keeps growing! EPIX original spy series, Berlin Station, just got THAT much better with newest additions Richard Armitage and Michelle Forbes.
Richard Armitage will star as Daniel Meyer, the newly appointed CIA case officer at Berlin Station tasked with uncovering an informant. Armitage has a dynamic presence in film, television and the theatre, including his roles in the BBC’s MI-5 and Robin Hood, as well as Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit trilogy and the 2011 box office smash, Captain America: The First Avenger.
Joining Armitage and the rest of the Berlin Station ensemble as Valerie Edwards, Michelle Forbes has left a powerful imprint on American television. Forbes earned herself an EMMY nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the AMC drama The Killing. Forbes also starred in the popular series True Blood and can be seen in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 when it hits theaters this November.
“We are very happy to have found our ‘Daniel’ to join this incredible ensemble cast,” said Mark S. Greenberg President and CEO of EPIX. “Richard is a singular talent who has the presence and attitude to bring this character and story to life. We are also honored that Michelle has joined Berlin Station. She is a gifted actor who embodies the richness of character pivotal to the show. This venture is an exciting step in the network’s continued commitment to bringing our viewers smart, sophisticated offerings that have a broad appeal.”
Needless to say, EPIX is overjoyed to have these two on board as production begins this fall for Berlin Station.
