Richard Jenkins Joins EPIX’s Original Series Berlin Station

More exciting news on the Original Series front, readers! EPIX is thrilled to announce that Academy Award® nominee Richard Jenkins (The Visitor) joins the ensemble cast of Berlin Station, a 10-part contemporary spy series produced by Paramount TV and Anonymous Content.

The second of two recently announced EPIX Original Series, Berlin Station follows Daniel Meyer, a newly anointed case officer who has arrived at the CIA foreign station in Berlin, Germany. Meyer has a clandestine mission: to uncover the source of a leak who has supplied information to a now-famous whistleblower named “Thomas Shaw.” Guided by jaded veteran Hector DeJean, Daniel learns to contend with the rough-and-tumble world of the field agent—agent-running, deception, the dangers and moral compromises. As he dives deeper into the German capital’s hall of mirrors and uncovers the threads of a conspiracy that lead back to Washington, Daniel wonders: Can anyone ever be the same after a posting to Berlin?

Jenkins will portray Steven Frost, a veteran of the Cold War now serving as the CIA’s Chief of the Berlin Station.

One of the most in-demand character actors in Hollywood, Jenkins has made over sixty feature films. He received an Oscar® nomination for Best Actor for his highly praised performance in Tom McCarthy’s The Visitor and just completed filming Bone Tomahawk, directed by S. Craig Zahler and also starring Kurt Russell.

Recent films include The Hollars directed by John Krasinski, God’s Pocket, Step Brothers, Four Minute Mile, White House Down, Eat Pray Love, Friends With Benefits and Dear John. Other notable film credits include, The Cabin in the Woods, Jack Reacher, Killing Them Softly, Flirting With Disaster and. Jenkins numerous television appearances include the mini-series “Olive Kitteridge” and the made-for-television films “Sins of the Father” and the Emmy®-winning “And the Band Played On.”

Berlin Station marks Jenkin’s return to premium series television since he played the role of Nathanial Fisher in Six Feet Under.
