The stars were out and the lights were bright as Tina Fey unveiled her latest project, Whiskey Tango Foxtrot. In the film, Tina’s character relocates to Kabul, Afghanistan to cover the war for three months…and she ends up staying three years.
Here’s Tina talking about whether she’s an adrenaline junkie like her character:
The film is an adaptation of the book The Taliban Shuffle: Strange Days in Afghanistan and Pakistan, written by Kim Barker. At the time, Barker was a writer for the Chicago Tribune. However, because this is Hollywood, Barker was changed to Baker. Print journalist was changed to video journalist, and as they say, the rest is history.
EPIX also got a chance to chat with Tina’s co-star, Margot Robbie. If you’re curious about what Margot’s name would be if she removed one letter, watch this:
Margot isn’t the only stellar co-star in Tina’s latest film. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot also features Oscar-winner Billy Bob Thornton (EPIX caught up with him, too!), Martin Freeman, Alfred Molina and Christopher Abbott.
Of course, the red carpet premiere in NYC for Whiskey Tango Foxtrot had a couple of special guests, including Bob Saget and Alec Baldwin.
Make sure you catch Whiskey Tango Foxtrot in theaters nationwide now!
